The Linen & Lace Magazine Issue 4
So the nights are drawing in and there is a chill in the air. Now is the perfect time to pop on those slippers , grab a scarf and a mug of something warm, and snuggle up under a gorgeous quilt to enjoy issue 4 of the Linen and Lace magazine.
In this issue we are delighted to introduce you to two young sewing talents – Tasha Schafer is 14 and a very talented sewer who has designed a fantastic mobile phone case. Emily Bradley-Dorman has just completed a B.A. (Hons) Textiles with Surface Design and she is responsible for the most adorable fawn cushion we have ever seen.
We are also delighted to bring you work from members of the Linen and Lace team, Terri Koszler, Marie Pickles, Lynne Spencer-Penfold, Penny Nuttall & Gail Rose. Terri has created a fun and simple Autumnal decoration for a tote bag, while Marie is keeping us warm with an infinity scarf, a mug hug and rug for those steamy cups of soups! An ingenious horseshoe cushion from Lynne and a delightful hedgehog apron from Gail are sure to be popular makes. Penny has used a range of seasonal colours for her table runner and a simply stunning cosmetic bag. We’ve added a few projects of my own including 4 with the adorable swing dress cover die. If applique work tickles your fancy, the two quilts in this issue will be just the projects for you.
So grab a cup of something soothing and enjoy a winter warmer of a magazine. We can’t wait to see what you make- who knows, next time it could be you with your picture in Reader’s Makes.
